Alison Hammond

Alison Hammond is now a regular face on ITV1. She has just lost nearly three stone as one of the participants in the prime time Celebrity Fit Club and has fulfilled her dream of appearing on Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes (April 2004).

Today, Alison is kept busy covering presenting, reporting and interviewing slots on ITV1’s flagship daytime programme, This Morning, appearing live and also roaming the world interviewing A list celebs including Britney Spears, George Clooney, Tom Jones, Samuel L Jackon, Donny Osmond… the list goes on.
You’d be forgiven for thinking Alison’s recent wave of success is down to her unforgettable performance on the now legendary Big Brother and you’d be so wrong. Alison cut her media savvy teeth with an impressive eight year stint as founder member of Central Junior Television workshop in Birmingham.

It was here that she introduced herself through TV great dramas including Boon, Chalkface, Locksmith, Yes and not forgetting 3 series of the BAFTA awards winning Palace Hill.

It was at this stage in her life that BBC3 came along and provided Alison with a springboard to the next phase in her media career - presenting. At the beginning, Alison had some understandable concern about the effect such a move might have on her career. The public instantly adopted her for her infectious personality and witty charm paving the way for a successful crossover into mainstream TV presenting on terrestrial channels.

Other TV credits include Loose Women, Inside Out, BBC Exchange, Celebrity Ready Steady Cook, I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here and Turn on Terry.

Alison has just moved into her first property of her own – a flat near Birmingham which is her pride and joy. She is 28 and very happy with her boyfriend, Nordine who met her after being in the audience of one of her shows.
